Laura Davis Smith has been named the 2017 Family “Lawyer of the Year” in Miami by Best Lawyers 2017.

Caroline Black Sikorske has become a Diplomate in the American College of Family Lawyers.  The American College of Family Trial Lawyers is a select group of 100 of the top family law trial lawyers in the United States. The organization was formed in 1993 to bring together the country’s best trial lawyers practicing sophisticated and complex family law and matrimonial matters both domestically and abroad.

The American Inns of Court, whose mission is to promote professionalism, ethics, civility and excellence in the legal profession renamed the Family Law Inn of Tampa after one of our former Florida Chapter presidents and it is now the Stann Givens Family Law Inn of Tampa.

Maurice Jay Kutner was one of the lead presenters of “How and Why Transparency Works for Family Law: The Transparency Team Approach” at 2016 Spring ABA Family Law Section conference and will present it again in 2017 at the Certification Review Course.

Natalie Lemos was named “Lawyer of the Year” in 2016 for Family law in Miami, Florida.  She recently appeared on “Power up with Claudia”, discussing various divorce topics on WBRNMiami.com.

Elisha Roy was selected to the 2017 Leadership Palm Beach County Engage Class.

Mark Sessums was recertified in Civil Trail Law by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization.

In August 2016, Maria Gonzalez co-presented on “How to Be A More Effective Facilitator in the Mediation Process,” at the 2016 Dispute Resolution Center 24th Annual Conference in Orlando.

Richard West was named Orlando Family Lawyer of the Year 2016 by Best lawyers in America.

Laura Davis Smith was appointed Chair of the Florida Bar Family Law Section.

Mark Sessums was certified by the National Board of Trial Certification.

Natalie Lemos became certified in 2016 as a Mediator by the AAML.

Elisha Roy was appointed to the Board of the Greater Palm Beach JDRF.

Maria Gonzalez was appointed by the Florida Bar’s Board of Governors as a member of the Florida Supreme Court’s Commission on Professionalism with a term ending in 2018.

Stann Givens was named “Lawyer of the Year” in 2016 for Family law in Tampa, Florida.
