About the Florida AAML

Florida AAML members are qualified, ethical family law attorneys in Florida.

Each attorney has advanced training, experience, and is operating under the Florida Bar’s most stringent ethical and professional standards known as the Bounds of Advocacy. Less than 100 family law attorneys in Florida currently meet the stringent requirements needed to become an AAML member – a testament to our rigorous technical and ethical vetting process.

Founded in 1962 to “promote the highest degree of professionalism and excellence” in family law, AAML attorneys represent people in all facets of family law, including: divorce, annulment, prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, marital settlement agreements, parenting plans, business valuations, property valuations and division, alimony, and child support.

Florida AAML became a Provisional Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in January 1976. Then became a Charter (full) Chapter in March 1978.

AAML members must prove to be highly technically proficient in law, experienced, ethical, and must commit to continued education to maintain excellence in family law.

Florida AAML provides exclusive and valuable educational, marketing, and networking opportunities to the most qualified, ethical family law attorneys in Florida.

Our members are instantly recognized as experts by the public and media, including on important current topics including alimony reform and timesharing issues.

The AAML Florida Chapter will be co-presenting the Marital and Family Law Review Course with the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar in Orlando on January 26-27, 2024. Florida AAML presents The Institute on April 26-27, 2024 at the JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek.
