Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. — The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) Florida Chapter Foundation today announced a $5,000 contribution to f.a.c.e.s. for children, Facing Adverse Childhood Experiences for Children based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
The mission for f.a.c.e.s. for children is dedicated to building resilience in children facing childhood traumas and adversities by improving an understanding of them and why they matter. Resilience in children will be built by utilizing resources, education, and best practices that minimize and prevent adversities so as to impact children’s lives. This will enable them to overcome everyday challenges, associated with family conflict, that may affect their brain development.
“The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Foundation was so proud to present f.a.c.e.s. for children with a grant,” said AAML Florida Chapter President and Attorney John Schutz. “The Academy and f.a.c.e.s. for children have a common goal of minimizing the destructive effects of divorce on families and especially children. This grant will allow them to assist more families by improving the lives of their children.”
